The mufflon fillet is the finest part of the mufflon sheep. If you're looking for a new and exciting flavour experience, or just want to impress your guests with something different, then Mufflon fillet is definitely a meat to try.

Mufflon meat has a lot of flavour and the taste is more reminiscent of game such as deer than of lamb and sheep. The supply of this wild sheep is also quite small as the wild mouflon sheep are few in number.

The fillets are relatively small and therefore suitable for frying directly in a pan. Salt before and pepper after. Leave to rest for a few minutes under baking paper or a towel.

With the mufflon inner fillet, you can also make a fun variation on oxfilé provencale where you replace the ox fillet with mufflon fillet - an exciting and different way to serve. The mufflon inner fillet is cooked in the same way as a fillet of beef: fry the meat in oil over high heat to give it a surface finish. Then let it finish cooking in the oven - fabulously tasty!

As mentioned, each mufflon fillet is relatively small and a package can contain more than 2 fillets.
