Wild boar sausage - Hand stuffed raw sausage

About the product

Our wild boar sausage from The Hairy Pig is undoubtedly one of our favourite sausages. We think they have succeeded incredibly well with the seasoning in this hand-stuffed wild boar sausage. The sausage has a very high meat content, contains no preservatives and is completely gluten-free. It contains only natural substances, pork skins and of course no additives or nitrite salt.

The wild boar meat comes from Västergötland and the pork is personally sourced locally by The Hairy Pig staff from the family-owned Åby Gård in Husby-Långhundra in Uppland.

The sausage does not contain an insane amount of game meat (15% wild boar meat) compared to our other game sausages, but we think the good taste, the fine raw materials and the small-scale craftsmanship in the sausage stuffing more than make up for it.

The production takes place in The Hairy Pig's production facilities north of Sigtuna. The Hairy Pig also operates a small, but very successful restaurant on Lilla Nygatan in Gamla stan in the heart of Stockholm.

We recommend that you cook the sausage (thawed) in the oven at 220 degrees for 12 minutes.

It is also excellent for grilling. Grill the sausage (thawed) briefly on direct heat to get the colour and then move to indirect heat. It is important that the sausage is not left on the grill for too long as it may become dry as it does not contain any bacon.

Ingredients: Pork (85%), wild boar (15%), rosemary, sage, marjoram, thyme and salt.

Origin: Sweden

The meat is shipped vacuum packed and frozen.
